Ganzhou government offering microcredit of more than 400 million RMB to help the migrant workers to establish  new businesses.

Due to the international financial crisis, the labor market has met with a “winter”, which caused the migrant workers to return back to their hometowns.  How to help the workers trapped in the sudden crisis? The Labor and Social Security Bureau in Ganzhou said that the migrant workers who want to start their own businesses will get full support from the coming “Venture Support Project”.

As introduced, the department of labor and social security is implementing preferential policies to help the migrant workers find empployment and set up their own businesses. On that basis, the department is busy planning the “Venture Support Project”, building demonstration bases and encouraging able persons to start enterprises. The department hopes the newly founded companies will promote employment, and the newly added labor will encourage more business and vice versa, which will vitalize the rural economy. It is learned that on the requirements of “free training, comprehensive employment, and full venture support”, City Hall will invest over 30 million RMB for reemployment training. At the same time, more than 400 million RMB microcredit is ensured to mainly help migrant workers establish new businesses. Besides, the government asked each county to establish at least one or two "Venture Incubation Bases" and demonstration towns, which will support the returning migrant workers to start their new ventures. The officials hope the examples will call on more talents and enterprises to return, and attract more funds back to the city, achieving the multiplier effect of venture promoting employment.

It was also reported that Longnan, Yudu, Nankang and Shangyou were chosen to construct pioneer parks, because they has high concentrations of labor working outside last year. All kinds of enterprises in the pioneer parks are exmpt of paying management fees, and only pay half venue costs, and preferential utilities. At present, there are 23 pioneer parks, attracting 2,100 migrant workers.
